Join a Subscription

Subscriptions are a collection of Space and Time Managed DB accounts, all using a singular payment method and shared visibility into each-other's objects. The most common use-case for subscriptions is a company or department who pays for their employee's usage. Typically projects or smaller companies will have one subscription, while larger organizations may have several. An account can only belong to one subscription at a time.

Joining an Organization's Subscription

If your organization already has an active subscription that you'd like to join, an owner or admin in your subscription must issue you a 'JoinCode'. The JoinCode they send you will look like a hexidecimal key, for example: 1115639b5baf85bba86153f8

No User_ID yet?

You will need a User_ID before joining a subscription - check out this page on creating a User_ID. During the workflow to create a new User_ID, there is a place to enter a joincode right when creating a new user - Done!

**To Join a subscription with an existing User_ID: **

If you already have an existing User_ID and want to be added to a new organization's subscription:

  1. Ask your internal Space and Time Managed DB administrator to generate and send you a new JoinCode over a secure channel.
  2. Navigate to Dreamspace, click on "Sign In" in the upper-right most corner, and log in.
  3. Click on "My Account" in the upper-right (replaces "Sign In") and make sure you're on the "My Account" tab.
  4. In the section called "Join an Existing Subscription" find the text box labeled "Join Code."
  5. Copy/paste the JoinCode from your administrator in the text box, and click "Submit."

You should see a green confirmation message in the upper right, and this section of the UI will be replaced with information on you current subscription.

👍

Congrats! You've just joined a subscription!

🚧

The JoinCode expires 24 hours after generation and is consumed once used (for security) - so don't delay!

No JoinCode?

If you don't have a JoinCode, no worries - every user will have 100 free queries granted during account creation. After those have been used, you can create your own Pay-per-Compute subscription! This is a no-minimum, per-usage pricing model whereby you only pay for queries run - usually a few pennies per query.

It's a great option for small startups looking to get started cheap and scale as they grow, or individuals who want easy access to blockchain data at very low transaction (query) cost.

To get started, find the "Usage-Based" / "Pay per Compute" option and click "Subscribe Now".

Today we bill in arrears (5th of every month) using credit cards, however are working towards more pre-pay, crypto, and on-chain options. Check back frequently!
